BioI started a Journal in college (one of the requirements of my literacy class), and called it "Dumb Ideas and Things that Just Might Work -- Volume I". This is now volume IV, and you can see that the name has changed slightly. Mostly it was an accidental miskey when I typed in the name, but I liked it and so the name is changed.
I'm a techno-geek, and have been since my early years. I always knew I wanted to program computers for a living. Now I no longer do that. Instead I write standards that people who program computers use when they develop healthcare applications. It's a step up from what I used to do.
The cool thing about it is that eventually I'll be able to look back at it all and say that because of what I (and several others, including![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/userinfo.gif)
gilamonstre, glenmarshall and foxesdaughter) have done, the lives of thousands were made better or even saved. Call me a zealot, but I really like what I'm doing.
The only thing that I don't like about LJ is that I cannot draw in it, like I could on paper. Oh well, Volume III is still at the bedside -- waiting.
